Strong H-Beam Price in Tokyo

H-beam market price is changing to strong tone at 76,000-77,000 yen per tonne for products with 200 by 100 millimeters width at dealers’ sites without freight around Tokyo. Some products for mainly thin width size became short due to the effect of makers’ output reduction. The market price is shifting to higher zone with tighter supply and demand. Large dealer source said dealers will fix the market price in high in within July and will more raise the price in August.Large dealer source said dealers’ inventory slightly decreases at the ended of June from May, but it would decrease largely at the ended of July because their shipment recovered from the last half of June and makers reduced the supply. Dealers will not sell at cheaper price and will sell higher price.Makers keep the selling price due to higher ferrous scrap price. Makers and dealers want to increase the market price.
