Strong H-Beam Price in Tokyo

H-beam market price keeps strong tone with strong tone at 76,000-77,000 yen per tonne for products with 200 by 100 millimeters width at dealers’ sites without freight around Tokyo. Nippon Steel passed over the acceptance of order for the contract in May from dealers. Tokyo Steel Manufacturing or JFE Steel is enhancing the reduction of the output. Makers’ supply is decreasing. Dealers is selling higher price due to increasing market price.The inventory of thin width and large width products is becoming short. Dealer source said the shipment in July was flat or slightly increased compared with June. Dealers’ inventory is decreasing due to reduced storing. Large dealer already raised the selling price to 78,000 yen per tonne. Large dealers’ selling price is increasing from bottom, and is closing to higher level.The demand for small-middle building object isn’t low which the object is connect to the shipment of dealers. However, integrated steel maker source said the order of large building object from general contractors reach a peak in the last half of fiscal 2007 at the ended of March 2008. The demand for building construction is expected to keep high leveling in near future. Dealers are seemed to keep strong selling stance.
