Nippon Mining & Metals announced on Tuesday the firm increases the official copper ingot price by 20,000 yen to 1.02 million yen per tonne for August shipment to reflect the higher international market. Mitsui Mining & Smelting reduced the official zinc ingot price by 22,000 yen to 469,000 yen per tonne. Mitsubishi Materials reduced the official lead price by 56,000 yen to 412,000 yen per tonne. Nippon Mining & Metals increased the copper price despite of higher yen rate when settlement of London Metal Exchange hit US$ 8,159 per tonne on Monday due to strike in Mexico and higher resource market. Mitsui Mining & Smelting reduced the official zinc ingot price when the LME zinc price was US$ 3,590.50 per tonne on Monday, which was US$ 80 lower than previous official price revision on July 20, despite of higher yen rate. Mitsubishi Materials reduced the official lead ingot price when LME lead price was US$ 3,119 per tonne on Monday, which was 10% lower than the price on July 20.
