Flat Colored Galvanizing Steel Price in Tokyo

Colored galvanizing flat steel market price is flat at 225,000 yen per tonne for small coil with 0.35 millimeters thick and at 204,000 yen for large coil around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level until the demand increases visibly. The distributors said the demand shows sign to recover when they get order for delivery between end September and early October. With demand recovery, the makers would increase the selling price lifting the market. Both the makers and distributors reduce the profit under the slow demand. The makers try to pass higher cost price of hot rolled coil while the distributors try to increase the reselling price to cover lower shipping volume especially for thinner sized products for housing applications. However, they still try to watch the market condition for September-October. They could start aggressive hike activity in mid-September.
