Al Building Material Demand Widely Down in Sep, Japan

Japanese domestic production of aluminium building materials decreased by 15.7% to 27,202 tonnes in September from a year earlier while the shipment downed by 14% to 31,662 tonnes, according to Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry. Domestic demand for building materials continue decreasing after revised Japanese building standard law became effective.The demand widely decreased for aluminium sashes used in houses in September when new housing starts are delayed. The demand also weakened for aluminium doors and exteriors. Building sashes maintained the low level.
