H-beam market price is flat at around 80,000 yen per tonne for 200 by 100 millimeters width around Tokyo. Dealer source said the shipment decreased in November compared to October. Dealers’ purchasing price is gradually increasing due to the makers’ price hike. The market price is sustained by dealers’ strong selling stances to save their profitability despite of slower demand.Dealers are being suffered from lower profitability due to less sales volume and higher inventory price. Some dealer sources posted losses in September temporarily. Dealers may sell H-beam at cheaper prices to save cash and the market price may become weaker if the demand maintains slow. Some reselling prices seem at as low as 78,000-79,000 yen per tonne. However, most dealers keep the reselling price when their purchasing price is increasing and they expect the demand would recover.
