Japanese domestic production and shipment of nonferrous metals and related products represented year-to-year increase in October for 2 items among 16 items of the statistics by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Production and shipment showed year-to-year decrease for all of metal manufactured products. Construction materials shipment declined after new Japanese building standard law. The shipment of copper fabricated products slowed down when metal prices fluctuated widely and the users minimized their purchasing volume.
