SWCC Showa Holdings tries to expand the electric power equipment products and sound control products as strategic growth business under new 3-year plan starting fiscal 2008, which the firm now prepares to launch. The firm tries to expand the sales of the power equipment products in Asia and North America while the firm develops domestic market for sound control products in transport and semiconductor industry. The firm tries to grow next growth items while the firm tries to expand the 4 strategic business areas including precision devices, wiring harness for electronic products, vibration isolated products and power equipment products under current 3-year plan through fiscal 2007. The firm produces plastic and silicon based bushing, which is much smaller than porcelain bushing, through the subsidiary, SWCC Showa Cable Systems. The firm expands the sales to estimated near 4 billion yen in fiscal 2007 from just more than 2 billion yen in fiscal 2005. The firm also expands the offshore sales through modified products for Chinese standard and OEM at Tyco Electronics Raychem of USA while the firm now prepares to get standard in Middle East and North America. SWCC Showa Holdings’ subsidiary, SWCC Showa Device Technology launched QUIESCENT brand for the sound control products in November 2006 to start supply of the products and services. The firm supplies sound control products for new super express train, N700 series launched by JR group in the year. The firm also supplies such products for theatre and expects to expand the market to building, transport and semiconductor plant.
