Ferrous scrap market price is firm at around 37,000 yen per tonne for H2, at 39,300 yen for H1 and at 41,000 yen for HS at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is expected to keep firm with higher export FAS price from Tokyo bay. Hyundai Steel of South Korea offered FOB 44,000 yen per tonne for Japanese H2 grade scrap at weekly tender on Wednesday, which was same level as previous week. Under tight supply of scrap around Tokyo, the dealers tend to ship more for export and shipment for other areas. Ferrous scrap market price is firm at around 35,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka.
