Aluminium scrap market price keeps flat at around 255 yen per kilogram for new cutting scrap, at around 215 yen per kg for casted machine parts scrap and at around 190 yen per kg for pressed can scrap at secondary aluminium alloy makers’ purchasing price around Nagoya.Local scrap dealers agreed with secondary aluminium alloy makers to set aluminium scrap selling price almost unchanged for shipment in the first half of February compared with the last half of January, said a source of local secondary aluminium alloy maker.Aluminium scrap price keeps steady with upsurge of primary aluminium price and tighter supply of scrap in the region. Primary aluminium price is approaching to 300 yen per kilogram around Nagoya. Aluminium scrap supply maintains tight mainly for sash scrap.On the other hand, secondary aluminium alloy makers are increasing procurement of imported aluminium scrap due to the underlying trend of stronger yen against US dollar. Material stocks at secondary alloy makers are increasing slightly.Scrap dealers and secondary aluminium alloy makers are in price negotiation for shipment in the last half of February. Scrap dealers expect aluminium scrap price would not decrease.
