Japan Colored Aluminium Shipment Drops by 6.9% in F2007

Japanese colored aluminium shipment decreased by 6.9% to 26,045 tonnes in fiscal 2007 ended March 2008 from fiscal 2006, which was first drop in 2 years, according to Japan Aluminium Association. The shipment for transport machine decreased by more than 10% impacting the total shipment while the shipment supported the total shipment before. The shipment decreased for construction materials including roof, wall and door in fiscal 2007 from fiscal 2006 when the building activity was very slow due to aftermath of confusion of new building standard law. The shipment for electric and mechanical component increased for 2 years in a row. The shipment for transport machine decreased to less than 10,000 tonnes.
