Makers’ price hike is running late, which is expected to penetrate after May when the demand for the flat steel is decreasing from last year. Makers are expected to raise selling price due to increasing material price. The market price is likely to keep strong tone in near future.Makers raised selling price by 30,000 yen per tonne for the shipping in April. But dealers raised selling price for the shipping in April 21 when dealers’ inventory remained. Dealers’ price hike is likely to be all different when some dealers have many inventories.Japanese integrated steel makers are reducing the output of hot rolled steel sheet due to tight situation for the material. Flat steel makers bring up flat steel supply may suddenly get low.
