H-beam market price is firm at 113,000 yen per tonne for 200 by 100 millimeters width without freight from the dealers’ warehouse around Tokyo. The dealers try to increase the reselling price after the one after another price hikes by makers. The market price could increase more when some dealers offer as high as 120,000 yen. With higher ferrous scrap price market, H-beam market interests expect higher price. The price could reach 118,000 yen per tonne level as early as in a week. The dealers’ shipment decreases after the users’ speculative purchase until previous week when the actual demand is still slow, especially for small- and mid-sized building. The dealers expect the shipment could decrease by 5-10% in April from March. The arrivals from makers to dealers increase by around 10% when the makers increase the shipment compared with the level in inventory adjustment volume cut before. The dealers’ inventory increases and they don’t see any stock out sizes though they reported some stock out sizes before.
