Kyoei Steel and Tokyo Tekko announced on Thursday they agreed for comprehensive technical partnership for screw joint for concrete reinforcing steel bar and recycling business. They seek synergy by consolidating the specification of screw joint while they try to expand the recycling business through the cooperation. Tokyo Tekko provides advice to Kyoei Steel on screw joint since 2 years ago. Kyoei Steel entered into partnership with subsidiary of Tokyo Tekko for recycling business 5 years ago. Tokyo Tekko said the firm produces monthly 30,000 tonnes of screw joint, which represents around 70% of Japanese market share, and tries to alternative supply route for stable supply in case of natural disaster or production trouble. They also expand the recycling business from current medical waste treatment.
