Japan Stainless Plate Price in Strong Tone around Tokyo

Stainless steel plate market price is strong at 540,000 yen per tonne for SUS304 hot rolled coil plate around Tokyo and 660,000-680,000 yen for plate mill products. The market price is expected to rise from the ended of this month.The supply and demand keeps tight in the world when the demand is strong for energy industry or oil and chemistry industry. The demand is good situation for high-vacuum chamber in Japan. On the other hand, dealer source said dealers’ shipment around Tokyo is expected to fall below at 10,000 tonnes per month despite of the inventory is considerably reducing due to increasing shipment for specific users.Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel raised the selling price by 20,000 yen per tonne for dealers for the contract in April due to rising material and energy price and tight supply.
