The supply and demand balance of Japanese shaped steel such as H-beam or angle is looser when many building construction projects stopped or postponed. Users are reducing steel product procurement.Makers are reducing order receipt volume by 20-30% over the previous month to decrease market inventory. But dealers’ inventories are increasing. Dealers are reducing the inventory against lowering market price.Dealer association announced the supply and demand for H-beam, equal angle and channel was loose in August. A major dealer source said the supply may balance with the demand if makers stop contract conclusions. It is expected that the supply and demand maintain loose if makers don’t implement additional supply reductions.
