Steel stock continues to increase around Tokyo bay. The stock increased to 112,000 tonnes in August, which increased to over 100,000 tonnes for 4 consecutive months in a row. The stock was 73,000 tonnes for hot rolled coil, 31,000 tonnes for cold rolled coil and 8,000 tonnes for steel plate. Hot rolled and cold rolled coil stock in August was the highest in 2008. The stock increased when trade companies and dealers increased order in spring, which the supply and demand was tight. Meanwhile, users cut the purchase after August when the price turned downward. It also keeps the stock at high level.
