Ferrous scrap market price decreased to 11,100 yen per tonne for pressed new cutting scrap and to 10,100 yen for new cutting grade without press at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep weak due to slower shipping from Tokyo bay and lower consumption by local steel makers.
Local electric furnace steel makers pay 16,000-17,500 yen per tonne for new cutting scrap. The price decreased by 1,500 yen in the week. The dealers also reduce the purchase price from the market. Ferrous scrap market price decreases to 3,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka under slower demand.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
