H-beam market price is weak at 120,000 yen per tonne for the base size in the latter of last week around Tokyo. The market price was downturn when electric furnace makers decreased H-beam selling price to over 80,000 yen per tonne. Users keep conservative buying of H-beam when ferrous scrap price fell below 10,000 yen per tonne.
Dealers’ inventory keeps flat from last month. Dealers’ shipping slightly increased and dealers’ award volume increased, too. Dealers are likely to reduce the inventory product with higher price, but they can’t decrease it. Big building construction projects were postponed or stopped one after another. The demand grows worth. Small-middle size building construction projects is expected to be decrease. There is difference in around 40,000 yen per tonne of the selling price of H-beam between Japanese integrated steel makers and electric furnace maker. Dealers are embarrassed double price.
