Nippon Yakin to Expand High Performance Material Sales

Nippon Yakin Kogyo expands global sales for high performance materials. The firm launches special unit to expand the sales in February to improve the marketing network collaborating with Bangkok and London offices. The firm targets the sales weight of the high performance materials from current 43% to 50% as early as possible.

The firm tries to reduce the lead time from current 90 days to 60 days with commitment of delivery date. The firm tries to improve the competitiveness through the better service including the delivery.

The sales rate of high performance materials increases to 43% in January from 41% in December while the demand is very slow for commodity grade products. The firm expects the sales rate will be more than 40% in January-March period.

The firm started operation of 2.7 billion yen new production control system to manage the operation with many items and small lot. The firm expands the high performance items from 57 items of 76 grades to 69 items with 111 grades.

The firm appeals the high performance products by launching new 2 leaflets titled high strength materials and heat resist materials in 2008. The firm adds 2 leaflets for high temperature corrosion and corrosion resistant materials. The firm also appeals the better environmental impacts of the materials including lower carbon dioxide emission.
