Ferrous scrap market price is flat at around 14,000 yen per tonne for H2, at around 15,800 yen for H1 and at around 17,500 yen for HS grade at the dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level under tight supply despite of the lower export price.
Local electric furnace steel makers pay 20,000-22,000 yen for H2 grade scrap. The price is same level as export FAS price from Tokyo bay. The makers try to adjust the price level to secure requirement under tight local scrap supply. Ferrous scrap market price is around 13,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
