Ferrous scrap market price is flat at around 63,000 yen per tonne for H2, at around 65,300 yen for H1 and at around 67,000 yen for HS grade at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level under tight supply. Local electric furnace steel makers pay 69,500-71,500 yen per tonne for H2 grade. They keep the price level and the dealers also try to find the market trend. A dealer source said the supply is still tight due to strong demand from integrated steel makers despite of the output reduction by electric furnaces. Ferrous scrap market price is firm at around 62,500 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka. Local electric furnace steel makers pay 72,000-73,500 yen for H2 grade.
